WASTE WATER TREATMENT PLANT - (Grey Water Treatment)

What is Grey Water?

Generally defined as wastewater from bathrooms and laundries, grey water can come from our showers, baths, basins and washing machines. It may be contaminated with a range of soluble and insoluble (particulate) substances such as soaps, detergents, skin, saliva, dirt and lint. Each type of contaminant, whether it is detergent/surfactant, organic, microbial or particulate, must be treated appropriately. That is why we have developed the Neel water Series of grey water treatment. Designed with a multi-barrier approach, it combines a range of purifying processes to remove the various contaminants.

Grey water characteristics versus Black Water:
  • Lower in BOD concentration, 140 to 160 mg/L.
  • Lower in suspended solids, 50 – 150 mg/L.
  • ower in nitrogen concentration, 5 – 10 mg/L.
  • Lower in phosphorus concentration, 0.4 to 2mg/L.
  • More Alkaline.
  • Higher in salt content.

LEED Benefits:

Neel Water offers high recovery rates without backwashing, negligible residue and low energy usage. These features provide maximum credits for LEED projects. Neel Water is the ideal option for green builders.
